Education

The Department of Molecular Genetics and Cell Biology provides a broad framework for graduate education while also serving key roles in the undergraduate biology curricula at UChicago.

The Department hosts the graduate program in Cell and Molecular Biology (CMB), which is in the Molecular Biosciences Cluster, one of five umbrella programs. The Molecular Biosciences Cluster hosts these five programs: 

Cell and Molecular Biology (CMB)
Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (BCMB)
Human Genetics (HG)
Genetics, Genomics & Systems Biology (GGSB)
Development, Regeneration, and Stem Cell Biology (DRSB)
